Aluminium coating is a composite soft packaging material formed by coating the surface of a plastic film with a very thin layer of aluminium by a special process. It is the process of melting and evaporating aluminum at high temperatures in a high vacuum, which causes the aluminum vapor to deposit on the surface of the plastic film, thus giving the plastic film a metallic sheen. Because of its plastic film properties as well as metallic properties, it is a cheap, beautiful, good performance and strong practical packaging material.
The function of aluminium plating on the surface of the film is shading and anti-ultraviolet radiation, which not only prolongs the shelf life of the contents, but also improves the brightness of the film, and replaces the aluminum foil to a certain extent. It is also cheap, beautiful and has good barrier properties; therefore, the application of aluminum coating in composite packaging is very extensive.
